I helped an old friend of mine kick off Vanguard in Lenoir, and we made it successful over the first two years.
The first thing was to build a website so we could track characters.
I helped balance and evaluate the rules, then assisted in editing and setting the style for the Google Doc housing the rules system. Once these were solidified, using the core application I had built for Dominion: The Red Shores, I adapted a tracking system based on the Vanguard Rules. Once we had that working smoothly, I created a steampunk theme with moving gears and steaming pipes.
As before, I was a member of Plot, the team of people responsible for making the story, meeting schedules on time, and troubleshooting in general. In addition to Boffersmithing, I was also adapting Nerf(TM) weapons and odd bits of packing material to become useful props in the Victorian/Old Western style of the world setting.
I created a number of quick costumes and outfits, some en masse for distribution to a lot of people and some more tailored for the individual or scenario.
