    ¡Viva España!

    Summer trip to Spain in 2023. Barcelona, Girona, Zaragosa, León, Burgos, Gitaria, San Sebastian. Catalonia, Aragon, Navarre, Castile y León, La Rioja, and Basque Country.

    This church was dedicated to St. Isidor de Sevilla, who was dubbed the patron saint of the internet by Pope John Paul II.
    The city government pays for and maintains these flower boxes all along the main roads. They have a special crane that comes by for watering and pruning.

    A 24-hour clock, out of service.
    The windmills touch the cloud canopy.
    Everything has my family crest on it, even the service covers.
    I imagine in ancient times, there were myths around this phenomenon, though our guide did not know of any.

    It goes on like this for hundreds of miles; one single giant blanket of clouds.
    The Cantabrian mountains pour fog down onto the slopes, like a wave washing over in agonizing slow motion.
    Spanish Highlands are riddled with tunnels.
    After the cheese solidifies, it has a layer of mold that must be hosed off before it is aged.
    Lots of moving parts.
    They have been winning for a long time.
